Blogging for Teachers
Our "Blogging for Teachers" class was so successful at Kecoughtan, today I will be teaching the same class at Syms. Teachers will be asked to share their ideas about Blogging for Teachers and how it can be used by clicking on the comment link. I'd like you to read what others have suggested and either comment on their ideas, or you can submit a new idea of your own. The choice is yours! Happy Blogging!
Here is Goochland County's Web Log page. Use it for ideas!

Thank you for teaching us about blogging here at Syms!
This is soooooo new to me I don't think I can make an intelligent comments.
I also have family in other states and this will be a good way to stay in touch with them. Of course, I'll use the security feature that you suggested about limiting the people who can view my blogg.
Thanks again.
I'd like to try using a blog for book discussions with/amongst students. However, I am concerned about the inappropriate comments some students may post. Limiting the participants by username could help with monitoring, but it would hinder ease of use.
Thanks for teaching the class today! What a great idea!! I would like to start using a blog first to share ideas with other teachers and get input from them on lessons...PE and schoolwide. Another thought was to have the kids use a blog to log their daily activity.Definitely a good idea to password their access so they have to be identified to participate though.
Thanks again.
I will write something as soon as my thoughts catch up with me. So far this sounds great!
Blogging could be use dif you have student's gathering real time data at home such as temperautre at various hours, etc.
